Question: Can you turn ON GPS device on-board commercial airlines?

The question is can i turn ON my Garmin Vista HCX handheld GPS on board commercial airlines, i meant for then entire duration from take-off to landing.?

As we all know, most electronics device emits some or abit of RF noise/interference.

Why i want to use my GPS onboard the aircraft? reason: i want know where am i when the aircraft is flying and how fast is the plane flying.

So with regards to the RF noise/interference, this may affect the aircraft safety and operation and may endanger lives of people onboard the aircraft.

Therefore i emailed our Singapore's number 1 airline in the world. Singapore Airlines regarding this particular issue. We have to be responsible for our actions which may also affect others.

Good morning.

Please be informed that in general, all electronic devices must be
switched off at all times as it may inadvertently affect the aircraft
