Recycling of Canon's Ink cartridge

I have been accumulating used canon ink cartridges.

Recently emailed canon, regarding recycling of
 empty ink cartridges.
Here is their response to my email.

Thank you for your e-mail.  You can drop off
your Canon inkjet cartridges
at any one of our four locations for recycling:
